LZMA/LZMA2 are the default and primary compression methods used in the 1-Zip program for the 1-Zip format. LZMA offers excellent compression ratios and speedy decompression, making it particularly well-suited for embedded applications. For instance, it can efficiently compress ROM (firmware) files.
